An informative review is a paper that has no bias/stance towards a topic they’re discussing, it states all the facts and the knowledge that needs to be known. Before venturing to do our own informative papers, we discussed what it was, looked at different samples, and annotated them. For my informative review, I discussed the increasing maternal mortality of pregnant African- Americans. An informative review will be organized with an abstract, subtitles stating the different things you’re discussing, and a conclusion. Writing an informative review was difficult because you cannot include any personal experience nor use “I” because you’re writing strictly from a professional perspective and wanting to spread awareness about the topic.
For our revision process, we did peer reviews with a partner and followed APA 7 format with Professor Carr’s and Purdue Owl’s help, and we also had the option to send the paper to her for feedback.
